Our Bangkok and Pattaya Family Trip: 6 Nights, 7 Days of Fun, Shopping and Adventure

Our 6 Nights, 7 Days Bangkok and Pattaya Family Holiday

On 27th August, we began our exciting 6-night, 7-day family holiday to Pattaya and Bangkok. Travelling with our 11-year-old daughter made the journey even more memorable, as Thailand offers plenty of attractions for both children and adults.

Day 1: Mumbai to Pattaya—Tiger Park and Crocodile Farm

We boarded an early-morning Thai Airways flight from Mumbai to Bangkok. The flight was comfortable, and the food served onboard was surprisingly filling. Our meal included bread, two vegetable dishes, dessert, and tea or coffee. Overall, it was a pleasant start to our holiday.

After landing in Bangkok, the immigration process was extremely smooth. The immigration officer welcomed us warmly and completed the formalities within a few seconds.

Our private car was waiting outside the airport, and we immediately left for Pattaya. On the way, we visited two popular attractions:

  • Tiger Park Pattaya
  • The Million Years Stone Park & Pattaya Crocodile Farm

Tiger Park requires approximately 30–45 minutes, depending on the experience selected. The crocodile farm is much bigger and requires more than an hour. Both attractions were enjoyable and especially suitable for families travelling with children.

After completing our sightseeing, we checked into our Pattaya hotel and rested for some time.

In the evening, we visited Pattaya Beach and enjoyed dinner at Spice Indian Restaurant. Later, we returned to the beach, rented chairs for 50 baht each, and relaxed while enjoying the lively evening atmosphere.

What makes Seychelles particularly appealing is the ability to combine multiple islands—such as Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue—each offering a different atmosphere while maintaining a sense of calm and privacy. Resorts are designed to blend into nature, making the experience feel intimate rather than crowded.

Seychelles is best suited for couples who value:

  • Quiet, unspoiled environments

  • Luxury stays without mass tourism

  • Slow travel with meaningful downtime

  • Seamless entry for Indian passport holders

Day 2: Coral Island and Water Activities

After breakfast, we left for the Coral Island Tour.

We tried exciting water activities such as parasailing and sea walking. These were thrilling experiences and among the main highlights of our Pattaya stay.

After the activities, we spent time relaxing and enjoying the beautiful island. Lunch was included in our Coral Island package. Once the tour was completed, we returned to our hotel and rested.

Day 3: Pattaya to Bangkok and Chao Phraya Dinner Cruise

After breakfast, we checked out of our Pattaya hotel and travelled to Bangkok.

On the way, we visited Little Zoo Garden and Capybara Café on a private basis. The place was pleasant, but according to our personal experience, it was not worth spending too much time there.

After reaching Bangkok, we checked into our hotel and later explored the nearby Pratunam shopping area.

At around 5:00 PM, we left for the Chao Phraya River cruise and reached the pier by approximately 6:00 PM. We waited in the reception area while the other guests arrived. During this time, a Thai singer entertained everyone by performing Hindi songs.

At approximately 7:30 PM, we boarded the Princess Cruise, which is particularly popular among Indian travellers.

The cruise offered a large buffet with several vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The food was good, and the atmosphere became livelier once the music and dancing started. Soon, almost everyone was on the dance floor.

The cruise ended at around 9:45 PM, and we reached our hotel by approximately 10:45 PM. It was a wonderful evening filled with food, music, dancing, and beautiful views of Bangkok at night.

Day 4: SEA LIFE, Madame Tussauds and Mahanakhon SkyWalk

After breakfast, we visited SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World. It is an excellent attraction for children, and our 11-year-old daughter enjoyed it thoroughly.

Next, we explored Madame Tussauds Bangkok, where we took photographs with the wax figures of many famous personalities.

We then visited the Mahanakhon SkyWalk, which was one of the best experiences of our Bangkok holiday. The panoramic view from the top was spectacular, and we could see almost the entire city. It is also one of the best places in Bangkok for taking memorable family photographs.

We completed our sightseeing at around 2:00 PM, had lunch, and then visited Platinum Fashion Mall for shopping.

The mall was amazing, with countless options for clothes, bags, cosmetics, accessories, gifts, and souvenirs. We purchased an additional luggage bag, colourful soaps in different shapes and fragrances, clothes, and several other items.

Initially, we were carefully calculating every price in Indian rupees, but after a day or two, we became more comfortable spending in baht! Our daughter especially enjoyed exploring the shops filled with makeup products, clothes, and accessories.

Day 5: Space & Time Cube, Jurassic World and Asiatique

After breakfast, our pickup arrived at approximately 10:00 AM.

Our first visit was to Space & Time Cube, including the Admission Hall and Rail Cinema. It was a fantastic experience for children as well as parents. Surprisingly, we noticed very few Indian tourists here, possibly because the attraction is still not widely known in the Indian market.

We then visited Jurassic World, which was an absolute gem for children.

The attraction was created so realistically that it felt as if we had entered a real jungle filled with dinosaurs. The surroundings, dinosaur movements, sounds, eggs, and baby dinosaurs made the experience highly immersive.

There were also reasonably priced dinosaur-themed souvenirs available inside. Families visiting with children should certainly keep some time for souvenir shopping here.

Later, we visited Asiatique and experienced SkyFlyers. It was another enjoyable attraction and offered lovely views of the surrounding area.

In the evening, we had dinner at an Indian restaurant before returning to our hotel.

Day 6: Safari World, Marine Park and Chocolate Ville

The following morning, our pickup was arranged for 8:30 AM. We reached Safari World at approximately 9:30 AM.

We spent the first half of the day exploring Marine Park and watching its entertaining shows. Families should check the show timings in advance because some performances should not be missed.

Safari World and Marine Park are ideal for families, particularly those travelling with children. Lunch was included in our package, which made the full-day visit convenient.

After Safari World, we visited Chocolate Ville. The entire place is beautifully designed and offers several colourful photo locations. It is especially attractive in the evening when the decorative lights are switched on.

After taking plenty of photographs and enjoying the atmosphere, we returned to our hotel.

Please note that Safari World remains closed on Mondays, so plan your sightseeing schedule accordingly.

Day 7: Goodbye, Bangkok

After breakfast, it was time to check out of our hotel and travel to Bangkok Airport for our return flight to Mumbai.

Our bags were heavier because of all the shopping, but our hearts were full of wonderful memories.

Our Overall Experience

Our 6-night, 7-day Pattaya and Bangkok holiday offered the perfect combination of adventure, family entertainment, sightseeing, shopping, food, and relaxation.

Pattaya gave us beaches, water activities, Tiger Park, and Coral Island, while Bangkok offered world-class family attractions, shopping malls, a river cruise, beautiful city views, and unforgettable entertainment.

Our daughter especially enjoyed:

  • SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World
  • Space & Time Cube
  • Jurassic World
  • Safari World and Marine Park
  • Madame Tussauds
  • Shopping at Platinum Fashion Mall

For families travelling with children, we highly recommend including these attractions in the itinerary.
